Is your font protected by copyright? Any chance you'd post the set here, for reference sake? Or is there a file, possibly? I think many might find it useful.
If you mean the font I have used on most of my DC work, that's based on Jack Morelli's lettering. He asked me to create a font for him about 10 years ago. When he asked what I charge I said "I get to use it."
"If you mean the font I have used on most of my DC work"
Is it the same font you used in NAMOR?
I heard or read somewhere that the font you used in NAMOR is your hand drawn letter, is it true?
What were your reasons for going to computerized lettering fonts rather than the traditional hand written fonts?
**********
My hand lettering sucks.
One day I found out about Copi-Tak, a self-adhesive film that can be cut an applied like zip-a-tone, and I realized this was the perfect way for me to do my own lettering, since the computer would allow me to create fonts far superior to my own lettering.
Most professionals use Adobe Illustrator to letter comics, although a very rare few will use Macromedia Freehand. Generally the lettering files are composited with the high resolution, coloured artwork files in an application called Quark XPress.
I gotta say, I love Jack Morelli's stuff. About the only letterer I like more is John Workman. And don't get me started on Richard Starkings' lack of a soul.
