Yup.

In many ways that "hint" was the biggest giveaway as somebody immediately got it and mentioned these covers.

That immediately ruled out just about everything else except that it was a reference to The Fantastic Four / Challengers of the Unknown. Of course plenty of people still ignored the clue and came up with their own guesses.

As soon as this clue was given out, I was 99.9% certain I knew what TW was going to be.

That hint confused me even more! I thought he was meaning Dracula since he worked on Dracula at M***** and Dracula is not a property of any comic book company.

You just made the same mistake I and someone else made recently. Johns first published work for Marvel was in Giant Sized Dracula but it was a backup story that did not feature Dracula! John has I believe never published a Dracula story!
