Just something to kill time on a slow Friday - Cubicle drawing

The rules:

* No rulers or straight-edges
* Perspective-drawing by eye only
* You've got two-hours
* If work interupts, too bad, that counts as part of your two-hours

I thought I did okay, considering the rules, interuptions and my meager skill-level:

I got a special limited-edition Slashdot.Kirby cubicle off eBay. I used it as a model.

I work on a help desk. Mondays are busy, and it gradually slows down throughout the week. In the first three hours of today, I've taken about three calls - all short and easy.

So, I'm staring at the blue skies through the window, wishing I could go out and play, and inventing things to make the day to go faster.

Thanks, Mark. No where to go but up!

JB's right, though - that John Buscema how to draw the Marvel way book is a godsend!

That's a really interesting look. I like it. My only criticism would be I think Superman's legs (specifically his calves) look a little chunky. Otherwise...super-cool!!

Thanks Jeff. I was going for something purposely top-heavy, tapered to the legs. No particular reason why.

John dug it enought to make it wallpaper.
Nice job. Have anymore DC charecters?

Hey, thanks Ken! No, I had another golden Age Superman (different style) and a stylized Kirby Galactus on my home computer...'til it died and I lost them. I'll have to remember to back stuff up.

I cheated by using a straight edge, but I handicapped myself by doing it during my 20 minute lunch.

Nice Superman-- I love the style. Don't change the legs they fit the tone/character of the drawing perfectly (IMO)
