Completly forgot about the back-up, a classic teamup of Storm and the Black Panther, a Clarmont/Byrne/Mcleod masterpiece. There was more plot, action and a 'what if' love affair in a mere 8 pages, than most 4 issue mini series, that are out there, johnv

Maybe, that issue helped inspire Jim Krueger, who included both Black Panther and Storm as a married couple in the Earth X series.

It of course also inspired the "Storm & Drang" story Priest did in Black Panther a couple of years ago. When T'Challa was basically declaring war on the US and seizing Tony Stark's Wakandan assets, Ororo came and staged an intervention.

Edited to add cover image

It was drawn by Sal Velluto.

Some people liked his run, but I guess I was spoiled by the short run Mark Bright had right before. Priest & Bright, they're like a Reese's. Just something right about the combination.

I actually really really like Sal Velluto's work, who has a very classic feel to it, but -- yeah, sometimes things go very very wrong

Manitou? Or, multiple Manitou growing out of his back (movie referance, and I think I'm dating myself)?
I think Sal' art can be very nice, but there was something a little off (IMHO) regarding his Black Panther art. I remember the Panther being too heavily muscled and looking awkward.

Would Ororo really be that much shorter than T'Challa?
