I think they need to be read out loud at a board meeting, as we did once in the past. (The "Biker Bar", remember?) That way, we may hope that everyone understands them and has them in mind if we continue.
As painfully long and tedious to listen to as that would be... I think it's the only way to make sure that the members that bother to show up to the meeting would realize what the bylaws were.
Seems like we ought to file, just in case it would help us get a tax exempt status. It takes a certain amount of time, so if we decide to do this, it needs to become a budgeted item, to pay either our treasurer or someone else who can do it.
I am waiting for Bill's opinion on this. He had some good reasons why we would not want to be a 501C3, I thought it was pretty much decided to carry on as we have been. Why the change of heart?

There's a whole lot that needs done there.... And nothin to draw people in... except copies of old newsletters. (blah) At least the CCSG has shirts and cups and stuff for sale...
Then who's gonna sit in there... I know I sure don't want to. I can already see taking a "block of space" and never having anyone relieve me... People that carve in the events, well, they're gonna be too tired once the carving is over, and no one is really around the area then anyways.
Im planning on doing more with Camp 6. They are very happy with with us. A couple of spots have opened up on thier board, I may become more involved after volenteering in the spring. We needto file with the IRS. Establishing our tax status is the 1st step to filing as a nonprofit. There is no downside, we will not ever owe with our current incomes, with our track record we will be excused from future filings until our income basis changes.
monarch s. park, was handeld by davey who is a great guy,but here is my ??? did that come into the guild, and ended up as a one man gig, not a guild gig? and furthermore how does it work at this point with info comeing into the guild? is there none comeing in? or do we not have the disrubution of this info {if any} broken down into bite sized portions? I see great oppertunitys being passing us by. And will we as a group put aside selfish self intrests, and do something grand? o.k. now hit the showers team..........................
Steve has implied a Guild job was privatized by insiders. Did money go into somebody's pocket that should have gone to the Guild? Come on Steve. Tell us more.

Jim Smith, former judge at Westport, and President of Pierce County Arts Commission hooked me up with manager/owner of Monarch -- talked her into judging at Westport, thought her park was perfect to display our work. She invited us, Bill, Deb,Trace and Davey showed. We demo'd with no pay, using our wood. Davey donated a beautiful bear bench -- when I could not repeat the next year, Davey, Trace and Pat McVay showed.
was it in the newsletter? same with other events, unless there is some written notice,a lot of members continue to feel left out, this would also include, those who would travel some distance if they felt included, time we had party, and drink some truth serum..................
This was posted on the internet, followed up by personal phone calls. You were invited but begged out for some reason. Currently this is a small event with no profit motive, those who show display thier talents. Ask uncle Pat he showed.
