Everybody- I'd like to propose a national fundraiser via the Forum54 route to raise money for the legal expenses incurred by the Quezadas in their fight to rewrite the wood hauling bill.

By their account, they've spent $20,000 of their own money on this. If everyone who felt like helping chipped in, we could cover the debt.

KC- would it be possible for us to do this under the CCSG umbrella?

What do the rest of you think?

You've got another great idea Mike...
Wow~
you really do amaze me.
I don't have a ton of money, due to popular belief, but I'll help some.

Hello everyone

Yes. It is possible to have a fundraiser. We have a non-profit accounting system set up for the Guild. I have the ability to track money received in a variety of ways. Non-profit accounting is a double entry system. It is not the favorite among accountants as it takes the extra effort. There seems to be a few requests for fundraising right now and I will track each event separately and all in one for the monthly treasurer report to all members. The membership cards are ready to go, so all we need is some wonderful new, old, excited, creative, positive carver's to join up and join in.
