Wow, I looked to see if I could attend Reedsport and noticed that 20 out of the 36 pro carvers are from Washington state and 7 out of 12 of the semi pros are from Wa. too.......HMMMMMMmmmmmm.....me thinks the numbers say that the titles for the master carvers will stay in the Northwest, as a bettin man, am I right? Darn, Im a transplanted washingtonian from La Salle Colorado, guess I dont stand a chance,,,,,in it for fun this year as it might be the last year for me to travel, health and old age, you know, the body can only take so much. BUT, I will never quit carving,,,,,,Jerry

Maybe once you get to Sequim the energy of the gang and 'The New Approach to a Show' aka Team ( ************ )will recharge your batteries. And yes us Northwest guys have always done well at the contests. This year wont, woops I mean Will in some ways be different. Jack

sequim is always my first of the year, from then on the carves get harder untill the end of the year and snow falls, making me long for a good carve. With gas prices what they will be I will try to cut back, not that I do this full time, I carve cause I want to not cause I have to, So now I might put trip to colo. on hold till I see if I can make some money...then fly to colo. I dont know,,,the future is at the tip of my saw,,,,see ya there,,still carvin, jerry
