I have a question.

Since I only started carving again not to long ago, are events like Addison and Ridgeway really for "Intermediate" carvers or should I wait till I get better with my carvings before I sign up for an event?
I see some of these carvings by Steve and Dennis and they blow my mind. Theres just no way I could even come close to one of there carvings yet.
Does it matter?

Thanks for any feedback you could give.

Beg, borrow, or steal your way to Ridgway!

I went to Ridgway as a totally new carver.

It was a mindblowing experience and totally worth while. I was able to see what's possible. There is such a huge range of carvings there, that there is something for everyone. From the 40 second Nilson owl, to the high end high art pieces, there is the entire spectrum of carving. It's also very humbling to go to Ridgway.

The foreign contingent of carvers has some really interesting ideas in their work. They aren't hung up with the traditional bears & eagles in U.S. carvings. Totally cool.

You'll learn so much and so many tips & tricks. You'll also have a mile long list of carvings to try. The seminars were great too.

It was sort of overwhelming for me. Information overload. I'd learn just as much a second time, and plan to go again.

Start saving your pennies now.
