I just took a look at the Stihl website and saw this image of the ms200 which looks quite a bit different than those I've seen other carvers using. In fact, it looks like my ms192.
Performance wise, is this streamlined version the same old ms200?
Are you sure, Jack? This sure looks like a lower profile body to me. Maybe I'll just have to buy one and come by your place to do a little comparison Carve up some of your 8" diameter old growth cedar you were offering to me. LOL
I bought one a month ago. Good running saw but will ware ya out just keeping fuel in it. Has the smallest tank I have ever see. You'd thing for 600 bucks plus they could have put a bigger tank on it. I cant even work up a sweat using it.lol
After some research, I decided to outfit my new 200 with a 14" quarter tip and low-pro chain. That chain is pretty agressive and the quarter tip appears to stay cooler than dime tips have for me. I'm quite happy with the results. The first thing I carved is this "squirrel hunter".
