Just was at milts form, and it's getting bad again. "an email I recieved" has some interesting stuff going on . All I can say isstay away from that post, people are posting links to porno web sites, and calling eachother bad names, and slinging some real nasty. Through all this idiocy, and the permission for it to continue, the carving community is fast losing my interest. Sorry to keep going on about this, but the carving community as a whole keeps showing me that they don't need contributing members. THanks for the comments Angie, I have a few friends left here and there... but you can't restore my faith in the carving community as a whole, rather a hole, in the ground, in the middle of the trail, full of ashes, kinda like a big ash hole, that's just in the way....... It's turning bad, and no one's trying to change it, it almost seems as though the people at the control panels are the sabateurs, and are trying to drive the whole carving community into the ground. THey have my vote for all time greatest hits of mass self destruction, and utter failure, because it sure looks like that's what they are trying to do.

Oh for goodness sake, who cares? Go make some sawdust and stop whining about "bad" people saying bad things. Be an artist and express your ideas with your art.

The general lack of caring and respect for others drives them away, not a few bad seeds. Why would any one want to share their many years of hard work, research, and developement with a group that's just going to ripp off their ideas, mock them, and call them bad names? Lurkers insult us for our knowledge and input, and copy our ideas, and flood the market, and ruin carving for us all. It's hard when I do this every day , to make a living, and I barely see any thing to inspire me to admit the fact that I am a chainsaw carver, it's an embarassing group to associate my self with currently. Maybe I'd quit "whining" if the group of those in charge would stand up and be responsible. I'm doing my part, I've been doing my part for years. Nobody needs to tell me to shut up and carve, when I put in more hours in a week running saws, and I create better quality, and quantity of work,on a consistent basis, than most carvers put in, in a month! Maybe some more of you need to Stand and Deliver or shut your mouths, no one wants to hear your pointless oppinions, or your reversed whining, and pushing for argument. I expect results, that's all I ever have asked for on these forums, and when I don't get them, you guys see my ugly side. Maybe if more people could produce, instead of just procreate, I'd stop "whining". !

where is your respect for others? Where is your maturity? Where are your contributions other than complaints? I hear a whole lot of whining, bitching, and moaning, along with a total lack of useful contributions. The carving community would be better off without your complaints and lack of contributions. Please either say something meaningful, or STFU and go away

You state "total lack of contribution" I beg to differ. Most of the time I have something meaningfull to contribute there is some one who takes it upon them selves to act "threatened" by my knowledge. I have recieved many hatefull emails, and they all are unvalidated in their statements. It's always a little "dogg" nipping at our heels that bites the hardest. If you're going to put me in check, you need to put your self in check as well. To say I have never contributed any thing is fooling your self. If you recall from the yello forum there was a bunch of posts in cracked carvings, electric saws, and detailing techniques, which I posted, or replied to, with out any intention of angering others, or causing a stir. People actually thanked me, and said it was very helpfull info, yet there is always the one , or two who have to anonymously be spitefull. I got banned from the yellow, because I was contributing usefull information to some one's post, and some one else came in and started spouting about , just like your reply. I am not a know it all, but I have been carving a long time, and have dealt with a variety of different issues carving related. If people feel threatened by this, I am sorry that they didn't get off the couch more when opprotunity knocked, not my problem.
It makes these forums seem pointless to me. I replied to them in not the nicest way, but when some one calls me names, and has nothing but negative to counteract my positive efforts, I counter them, and it's never pretty. If I can't be knowledgeable, what's the point in contributing to these forums. Seems that things got cleared up on Milt's forum, I called attention to the matter, and he responded. I don't go out there looking for attention to myself, I do how ever wave the red flagg when situations are not being handled. So why atart new problems here. I was upset about the way things were going down hill, called attention to it, and Milt listened. I don't want credit , or praise for it. This forum is a group of mellow individuals, so why bring angry replies to my frustrated posts? Yes I do have a bit of a chip on my shoulder toward the yellow forum, and the UCCG, it's a joke to me, sorry if you guys don't want it brought here, I'll do my best not to any more.
But I do have one question, Are there strict guide lines to how you contribute info, and how much of your knowledge you are allowed to share? Please clarify, because I never saw that in the guidelines for use of the forums. Seems to me that these anonymous, angry replies are the ones trying to look for problems...

Last Saturday I carved a country fair as they were paying and money is sorta thin on the ground right now.
It was super hot so I nearly got heat stroke ... and the heat is to hang around for the next week or so. We are all melting !! But still the carving must be done.
So you post a snowy carving and I'll post a baked one.

mark sometimes i feel like not even looking in on forums at all. i probably took more heat and threats of anybody even from you. but what keeps me coming back is every once in awhile an individual lets a nugget loose and i learn something. i try to help others but even the evil uncle tree did not have all the answers to the carving business. i know you and rl have had some fusses but the old guys like doc are the best to learn from . i know you and doc seem to be mortal enemies he gives me some crap i deserve but im in a infant learning stage. the way i look at if somebody truly does you wrong no fault of your own shout the truth from the roof tops .

#1 if he did as he said he would do, and not shut out others who make mistakes.. and #2 if he could email me to discuss our differences. I personally don't have a problem with any one, it them who makes the decission to discredit me as a viable life form. THank you Angie, I will post some work, and keep my trap shut soon. Love yas!
