I was hanging out on the MVED board bc it seems like that is the route we should go...then I found this board.
Here is my story:
I am 40 (41 in August.) Spouse turns 47 in June.
IUIs began in May 2002.
Pregnant on first IUI!!!!!
Miscarried at 13 weeks. D&C.
More IUIs. (first cycle after M/C D&C)
Pregnant on fourth IUI!!!
Miscarried at 12 weeks. No D&C. (was scheduled but AF started day before D&C)
Switch RE.
Fifth IUI. (First cycle after m/c.) PREGNANT with DS!!!!!
DS born Nov 2004. My egg and DS.
Stopped nursing him at 4 months - which broke my heart - to try for #2.
FSH 12.6 May 2004. Was 7.5 when tested in Feb 2003.
Since June 2005. Five failed IUIs (three natural, one with Gonal F 225 monitored and one with GOnal F 450, both triggered with Ovidril.) Only two follies with Gonal 450.
On sixth IUI cycle Gonal F juiced to 600mg. And pow 9 follies!! Convert to IVF. Retrieve five eggs. four fertalized. three transfered. Positive beta. But m/c.
Just finished an IVf cycle. Gonal F 600. 7 or so follies but of a huge range in size. 12 - 26.5. FOur eggs, one fertlize. Did not survive to transfer.
Not sure I can take any more IVFs. On day I found out my IVF cycle flopped, I called a new RE. Scheduled for July 17 visit with her.
My issues:
I have lost confidence in my RE. Where should I go? Which RE should I see. I live in Boston.
On my last IVF cycle they added Luveris. WHat is it? WHat is it used for?
SHould we throw in the towel and try DE? WHere the hell to begin on that process......
My marriage is suffering from the stress of cycling, as is my profession, as is my parenting, as is my general quality of life (I'm sure NONE of you have any of those issues!
