I am in my 5th cycle with Dr. Zhang in NYC, and we moved to the Boston area last month. Last cycle, at the office's suggestion, I sought out local providers for bloodwork and ultrasound, but it was a disaster. Brigham and Women's did not fax the blood test results to Dr. Zhang at all, despite that I made it very clear and it was noted. I even called the lab after calling Dr Z's to find they had no results yet, and the lab said they would do it momentarily. Maybe I'm too nice. For the ultrasound, I also went to 850 Boylston in Chestnut Hill, all part of B & W's, and they acted like I was from Mars wanting an ultrasound to measure follicle size and uterline lining. Also, my eggs mysteriously shrank there but grew the day after when I took my son out of school and drove to NY for the rest of the cycle.
Has anyone else had blood tests and ultrasounds performed by an outside source due to travel or distance from the IVF center? I will likely have to go through this next week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Besides the fact that the blood work never got to the doctor, I don't think I can take three days of stress trying to get people to return results on the same day. I would really appreciate it if someone could share with me information on a service provider willing to do these tests and to get the results to the doctor.
