I never thought this was going to be an issue with my wife and I, but here's our story.
-My wife just turned 35 last month.
-We have a beautiful, healthy daughter who is 18 months old, conceived naturally.
-We have been trying for about 6-8 months for baby #2.
-A few weeks ago we had two POSITIVE pregnancy tests, then she got her period.
-Saw obgyn and had bloodwork done, confirming she was no longer pregnant (considered miscarriage?).
-Went for day 3 fsh test got a result of FSH 23. OBGYN referred us to IVF doctor yesterday who advised IVF treatment asap. He did internal sono which showed there ARE follicles in her ovaries, but it wasn't too clear on how many.
We are both devastated. He told us our chances of EVER having another baby are 1-5%, but deep down inside I'm just not convinced. We had a healthy pregnancy/baby only 18 months ago, and she had a two positive pregancy tests just a few weeks ago, so how can he tell us that? I'm not mad, just REALLY upset and confused. Is FSH 23 really THAT bad?
Thank you all in advance for your replys...
