I know alot of you have posted about TCM and accupuncture, but has anyone used reflexology or massage therapy to help with ovulation and blood flow and such? I had a not so great experience when i went to the only Dr. in town who does accupuncture. She is very nice and is a true Chinese Dr. who has her own TCM practice, but, while i was seeing her she would try to sell me all kinds of chinese herbs, which i had no problem with it was the "other" stuff she was selling me. Stuff from Amway and such. I was truly dissapointed and turned off completely!! Anyway, i was just wondering if anyone has tried the holistic approach with massage. Thanks for listening!!

Hi, Patony - although i think a case could be made for either reflexology or general massage therapy since some of the key goals are relaxation and blood flow ... i highly recommend shiatsu massage if you don't want to do acupuncture. I did some shiatsu massage when i was ttc#1 b/c i was living in mexico and couldn't find an acupuncturist. The shiatsu lady i went to had a very similar mindset as my acupuncturists - they focus on the concept of chi also.
You could also couple it with some of randine lewis's things in her book such as femoral massage, etc.
All the best to you -

Thank you for the info. I will look and see if I can find someone in the area to do Shiatsu. I might have to travel a little farther north but it will be worth it if it works!

a women on the over 40 board posted about her miracle pregnancy (and healthy baby delivery) at age 44. She was doing reflexology in Europe and sort of credits her pg success to reflexology. I also live in Europe and am going to give the reflexology a try. My first appt is in March (will be traveling before then). the reflexologist I spoke with says she treats lots of women for infertility. It couldn't hurt to try. I will let you know how my appt goes.
