Hi,
I'm new to the board and not sure where to begin.

After 11 months of trying for #2 (#1 was conceived with FSH of 18, Clomid and an HSG) we're looking for a clinic in Atlanta that won't force me into IVF with DE. Anyone have a suggestion?

If no suggestions I would also love any info on how to approach a clinic/RE and what kinds of things we might be in for.

I'm 41, take Levoxyl for my under active thyroid, and my last FSH result was 19.3 (I don't know if that was a day 3 or 10.) I did two months of Clomid that I seemed to respond to and one of Femara that I have no idea about, as I thought I detected the LH surge on day 14, but got AF on day 20. I had a second HSG at the beginning of the month, and I've been doing acupuncture since October. Both my OBGYN and acupuncturist have said they can do no more for me.

Thanks,
Julie

RE in Atlanta

Hi,
I saw your post and wanted to tell you ACRM in Atlanta has been great for me. In particular Dr. Hasty. She is fabulous and may be more willing to work with you than other RE's I have heard of.

I saw Dr. Hasty (at ACRM) BEFORE my FSH got high. She seemed fine. She's certainly the RE who gets recommended most by the gyns I've seen.
My acupuncturist has recommended Emory as a place to check out- supposedly they're a little less stats obsessed, and more likely to take on "tougher cases" that the other clinics won't touch.
You got pregnant with an FSH of 18! That certainly gives me hope!
I'm also in Atlanta, also 41 and struggling with secondary infertility. If you'd like to connect, feel free to email me at carmivera@gmail.com.
Good luck to you. I'd love to hear where you land.
