Is there hope....for anything!??!?!

I was only 32 when this all started. Have had two totally normal pregnancies prior. Both I conceived very quickly!! Now all of a sudden, my family doctor tells me Im in menopause. Just out of the blue!!!

with numbers like these, is having another baby even possible??

Thank you....

I don't know much about LH and how that plays into the equation, but I think the fact that you are young and have had 2 successful pregnancies already is hugely in your favor.

The key is to find out if you are still ovulating, and a good way to do that is by charting your temperatures. Get a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility if you want to learn how to do so. Charting will give you lots of information on your cycle. If you are ovulating, you can get pregnant, although it may take a while. If you aren't, you may need the help of meds to ovulate, but either way, as long as you can produce an egg (or two), you have hope.

This secondary board is very slow, but follow the New high FSH board for tips and advice. Just be sensitive that many of those ladies don't have any children yet, and may not have much sympathy for your situation. (I also went through secondary IF and this is just the reality of it.) Find an RE in your area who will help you. If you post where you are on the high FSH board, someone will probably have ideas.

Best wishes to you.

Ann

I was 34 and wanted a second one. I'm 38 now and stil waiting. I still have hope maybe it will happen for me. Don't give up. Follow the previous response, she had given you a good help. This board is very slow and when you want to say something about pregnancy and children in your text write this (child or pg ment) to warn women on the board before they open your email. I didn't know that when I joined in.

Lurking from Playgroup - Yes it's possible! FSH of 110!

December 21 2008, 3:01 PM

I have two DC, one DS & one DD. I had FSH readings in the 30s before I conceived DS but they really shot up after that. I had an FSH reading of 110 in May 06 and was told I was in menopause. Went on BCPs for one month and tested a month later and FSH was down to 17. Went on Vitex in July 06 and got a BFP in Sept. 06. My DD is currently 19 months old. It is possible because FSH fluctuates every month; especially when our bodies are under a lot of stress. Even when my FSH was that high I was still having monthly cycles and my GP was stunned that I was! It's definitely still possible.

what was the drug you used to go from 110 to 17 fsh? I have high fsh. first, 66 then 44, prior 28 and lower. I am 47 and docs tell me to do donor egg. I don't want donor egg, so any info from you is great. thks.
