There is no harm in masterbating as long as you do it safely. I mean I wouldn't try to use vegetables or any other unclean device, but other than that, it can make you quite happy and satisfied. The only thing I would warn about is that if you masterbate mostly by using clitoral stimulation (and this is the way you'll probably cum the easiest-as with most women) you might find that you need more clitoral stimulation than penetration.
