My boyfriend and I haven't had sex in awhile, mainly because we hate the hassle of condoms. Basically the condom gets dry and starts rubbing the head and then we have to stop and blah blah blah. Lubricant doesn't work the way we want it too.
When we were having sex I also used a contraceptive that has spermicide. I think I would feel unsafe if I just used the contraceptive. So my question is, is there anything he could use that wouldn't be frustrating to use. I know I could get the pill, or the shot, along with other birth control but I don't feel safe if I'm the only one being protected.

I've always had success using the withdrawal method. But that's just me. You can get on the pill, the patch or some kind of IUD. You can google birth control and see your options.

I've actually talked to a doctor about an IUD. He said he didn't want to do it unless I had kids. Maybe I should get a second opinion.

Also, is there still a chance, even if it's small, that I could possibly get pregnant even if he pulls out?

Yes, it is possible so that is not the ideal method.

Birth control it works! most health departments give it to you for free or low cost. my fiance has used it while we have been togher for 3 years

It is possible that he is not telling you the truth that the condoms are uncomfortable. Trust me on this one, men hate using condoms and will do anything to get out of using them. He might think that he can jerk it out when he cums and you wont get preg. WRONG! Just the least little slip and you will be having a child or worse an abortion! Be firm and tell him "No rubber, no pussy!" Dont take dangerous chances.

Two sides to my own experience. In a three year live in relationship with a gal who had many abortions so we know she was baby capable - and after our relationship she met a guy she married and had kids with. So in those three years WE did use withdrawal and it was successful.
