      If it's two weeks (or so) before your period it may just be a little blood associated with ovulation, which some women get occasionally or even every month, and is perfectly normal. The same sort of stringy, paste-like, brown or even blackish mucus can occur just before and after periods too, so it's probably nothing to worry about! For the girl who hasn't started her periods that wrote about this happening - I got the same thing for months before I started, with pain sometimes too, and it was all fine, just part of your body adjusting. That being said, any blood that isn't normal FOR YOU should be checked out by a doctor to rule out infection or cuts etc. Hope that helps!
