I havent used a mirror to see my vagina before until i started having this funny feeling few days ago that something seem to be 'coming out' or that i can feel something there. I took a mirror and for the 1st time examine my vagina, nothing special compared to internet photos, except that i reckon now why i have this feeling: my labia minora looked and felt more prominent.
Is this ok? Why then would i be having such feeling all of a sudden? Sometimes i encounter constipation and exerted more force while passing motion and sometimes the anal skin will be enlarged and swell but will be ok for the next day. Would that exertion overtime lead to my vagina's enlargement too??
Thanks very much!

There really is no correlation between bowel movements and your labia. If you've never noticed your labia before then maybe it's always been that way and you've just now really realized it. It doesn't sound like anything to worry about to me.

I had noticed a mass of tissue coming out of my vagina. I went to the doctor and she told me it was loose tissue that indeed was falling out of my vagina. I would simply push it back in with my fingers! She explained it to me that like any other body part, with age, I'm 48, and having had 3 large babies, the tissue inside will sag and drop and actually fall out of your body. As a result of that drop, it caused a cave like effect and my colon actually went into the back of my vagina behind that tissue that was sagging. I had so much trouble with not being able to have a bowel movement, so I'd have diahrreah. She told me I could either have surgery to correct it, or it would just get worse and before the surgery, in order to have a bowel movement, i would have to reach my fingers inside my vagina and push my colon back out so I could have one. It was a pain and I hated it, so I had the surgery recently. Not only did it solve the problem, but I was a virgin again!! When she did the surgery she tightened me up and built up the back vaginal wall so my colon would straighten out, and it has and I feel so much better. Go to the OB and get it checked out, it might be something similar to what I had. Good Luck.

Thanks for the valuable info. Fortunately my problem wasn't so bad. I haven't given birth yet. Great to learn that you have a new life after the surgery! Cheers!

I have the same problem, I swear I was the only one who had this, especially the bowel thing, I agree its revolting and have noticed that it has got worse over the last few months, I have tried to look on websites for help or surgery options but have not found anything, what surgery did you have and who did it do you have contact details, I am in so much need of having to do something about this it is destroying my self esteem and sex life

yep, sounds like early prolapse...feelings of heaviness and bulging down there usually are associated with this. Do your Kegels and see your gynae for advice as to whether surgery is necessary, i waited for years with this and it was silly to do so, it's unlikely to improve without help.

Hi verity,
What is that condition that you've experienced? I was doing my kegels when i had this sagging feeling for about 1 week+, now it's fine and i don't have that feeling anymore. I'm not sure if it's due to the kegel exercises, or perhaps i don't really have any big problem at all.
Anyway, best of luck to you! Thank's for your kind responsd.
