Alright. It had been awhile since I have been to the doctor, a few years, never a pap smear in my life. But I went recently to planned parenthood and found out I had bv. I took some medication for a week and ever since after that my vagina has been acting weird. At first there was no discharge, not even when I was turned on. Now it's very white and thick. My vulva is red and sore in some places and intercourse hurts pretty much all the time. I also have little cuts on the little piece of skin between my vagina and rectum.
I am a lesbian I have had a considerable amount of sexual partners but now monogomous with my current girlfriend. Is she at risk for having what I have? What is what I have? Please help.

The antibiotics you took for your bv is notorious for causing yeast infections. As a matter of fact it is so common that some doctors will treat you for both at the same time, knowing this is likely to happen. You can go to the doctor again if you like, but it's probably fine at this point to try an over the counter treatment like Monistat. I don't recommend the one day treatment, but the three works great.
