What did I tell you spoiled lil brat!
Son, I hear there signing up members for the Danny Graves Fan Club. Your Mother and I think it's best you join a club instead of locking yourself in the bathroom and making funny noises.

As stupid as this might sound, I think this is the worst thing that could happen to the Reds! it just reinforces Lindners thinking that this is the right way to operate!
Look for another fire sale and salary cut next year!
The Reds also just announced that they aren't having Reds Fest next year!
Who is Lindners PR guy? Mike Brown?

Last night, as I was watching the Reds notch another win, I thought the exact same thing. I thought to myself "all this winning is doing is reinforcing and justifying Carl's cheapness."
Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying it as much as anyone...but Carl has had fire sales before when the Reds were in the thick of it, and all this pesky winning is surely making him think he's been "right" all along.
Oh well, lets worry about Unkie Carl pulling the rug out from under his team when it happens. We may as well enjoy the ride for now without fretting about the darks thoughts that all this winning is surely planting in Carl's head. |

You guys are 100% correct. But here's the kicker, if the attendance stays crappy winning or not the revenue situation of this team won't change.
Now if they start packing the house every night and Uncle Bernie still cuts the shit out of the payroll each year then we have problems, or if they're winning and filling the joint and the Reds fail to make a post season type money move, then we have problems. You guys agree? |

Like I stated on another thread, it will be vital to pick up a hitting 3rd baseman and some decent pitching help if they are serious about contending!
Don't forget this team was only 2 games out of first last July!

People have said they don't want to see Griffey go and you can't count me in that group.
What if he does though?
Here's a couple of scenarios I wouldn't mind:
1. We trade him and get a legit starter.
2. We trade him and get a legit - if not All-star - 3rd baseman and a starting pitching prospect.
That's it. Anything else is paramount to the beginnings of a fire-sale.
