I usually read all sorts of books, mysteries, westerns, sci-fi, regular fiction, everything except romance. Last summer I spent my time reading the Patrick O'Brian books. Earlier this year I picked up by chance a book by Suzanne Brockmann and have been hooked since. I just finished reading back to back, the first three books in her latest Navy SEAL series. The first two
The Unsung Hero and
The Defiant Hero are now reissued and priced at $3.99 each. The third book
Over the Edge is also great. They are
romance suspense books and even though these three books were written in 2000 and 2001, they seem ripped from today's headlines. To put it precisely, I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed the books so much, I didn't want to put them down to sleep, eat or go to work. Last month, I started with the most recent one published
Into the Night and then went back and read the one before that
Out of Control. Suzanne Brockmann has her own website that gives previews (opening chapters) of each book
http://www.suzannebrockmann.com. I highly recommend them. She also has a sixth one with the same characters coming out in July in hardback
Gone Too Far. I can't wait. Has anyone else enjoyed these books? Oh by the way, in her third book
Over the Edge she mentions Russell Crowe (and in a nice way). I had to laugh out loud.
