At the end of Chapter 1, there are actually 3 quotes. The Shakespeare references are as follows:
1) "Trifles light as air, Are to the jealous, confirmation strong, "As proofs of Holy Writ"
"Othello", Act 3, Scene 3, Line 322
2) "The poor beetle, which we tread upon, "In corporal sufferance feels a pang as great "As when a giant dies"
"Measure For Measure", Act 1, Scene 3, Line 81
3) "Like Patience on a monument "Smiling at Grief"
"Twelfth Night", Act 4, Scene 2, Line 107
It helps to have a "Shakeapeare's Concord" handy, so you can look up the lines quickly. A great reference guide. |
