Just Singers in a Rock & Roll Band?

Have loved the Moody Blues from day-1. While it may not be intentional the lyrics are startlingly, spiritually prophetic. I could have sworn that the Prince of Peace were writing them. And the thing is, see, God IS Love so I can't be that far off. I must have been living in a cave for the passed 40 years; I
was at first heartbroken that the guys were married.
Interested to talk to anybody- ha! everybody who loves
the Moody Blues. Let's get them in to the Hall of Fame! Love to you all. Lynn

Hello and Welcome!

"We've got the music for your soul". Yes, they do indeed!

My friend introduced me to the music of The Moody Blues about four years ago. Until then, I didn't know they existed...poor me.

I could never name my favorite song because it changes from day to day depending on what is happening in my life. I love them all...lol..and their music too.

May all our Hopes, Wishes, and Dreams come true...

Spiritual lyrics

June 7 2003, 12:25 AM

Yes, those lyrics from the Core Seven are certainly spiritual, containing simple, elegant and honourable moral values that helped me through much of my formative years. I don't know how five young rock/folk musicians managed to produce such deep and sophisticated ideas as they did, it certainly is unusual, so I too feel their words were driven by a higher hand.

Yup.

Absolutely. Various songs of theirs make me feel different emotions all at once. "Candle of Life" makes me want to cry, while something like "The Story In Your Eyes" makes me wanna just get up and DANCE! And then there's a song like "Veteran Cosmic Rocker"...what are you supposed to make of that?? Hearing any song from the album "Seventh Sojourn" makes me a little depressed, because I know the Moodies had a tough time cranking that one out, even though they obviously got back together and are still going at it!

I could pick a favorite from each ALBUM, if you wanted...but I won't bore you with that. My favorite songs fluctuate depending on my moods.

Oh and Blue Jays!

We must not forget Blue Jays, a kind of eighth honorary member of the Core Seven, LOL!
