My daughter(she is 22 months) started limping in the mornings about 2 and 1/2 months ago. i didn't know anything about JRA at the time but we took her to the doctor mmediatly. They couldn't find anything so the told us to wait awhile to see if it went away. Next week no better so back she goes for X-rays, still say nothing wrong wait again. I took the video camera and started filming her in the mornings and took her back again with the tape. This time they couldn't deny something was wrong so they scheduled for an orthopedist and ordered blood tests. Blood test came back positive for ANA. Canceled the orthopedist and scheduled with a orthopedic rheumatologist. Took about 6 weeks to get in there. My wife took her finally on sept 6 and she was diagnosed with JRA. She is affected in her right knee, left elbow and 1 finger on her right hand. She is taking Naprosyn and has improved quite a bit in a week and a half. The doctor told her she was borderline between Pauciarticular and Poly. So I am a nervous wreck. I read in one place about 50% of all Pauci. go into full remission and then I read somewhere else about possibilities of a wheel chair, so I am all over the place. She is my only baby and my whole world. I just want to know what should are expectations be realistically. Is it reasonable to expect she might get better, should we prepare for her to get worse. I just don't know what to do
