Hi. I have a 6 year old daughter who has complained of right knee and ankle pain for 3 years. she wakes at night screaming in pain 2-3 times a week. She also complains at school maybe once a week. She has digestive problems and has a g-tube. I thought maybe it was related. Our PED kept saying growing pains. We went to a Rheumatologist yesterday, even though her ESR and ANA Was negative. THe first thing she noticed was her legs... a rash called levido reticulans. SHe also noted her knee and ankle didnt feel right. and that that leg was not the same as the other. SHe had her do an xray of that knee and ankle. SHe said to make sure that it wasnt something more. SHe said its probably a mild case of childhood arthritis. SHe gave us some handouts. SHe also did more blood work. Something about a thyroid test and lipid test. What would these show? She also was checking her liver, for possibly going on some kind of medication. Can she still have arthritis with negative ANA and ESR? Im thinking this is what it is and she sure made it sound that way. any thoughts?
