I have an 8 year old that has been diagnosed with "apparent JRA" the reason her pediatrician uses the word apparent is due to the fact that the RH factor is still negative in her labs. She has only the right knee involved, and the pain began over 2 years ago. All her labs are negative that would point to RA, but he tells me this can be common with children, and children that have only one joint involved. There are no Juvenile Rheumatologists in my area, and all the rheumatologists won't see her due to the fact that she is so young. Have any of you had a similar experience with the labs being negative? Any information you can give me would be much appreciated.
