Hi Larry - I had to laugh when I read the first line of this weeks SMR. I just read that chapter in the Wizards book yesterday!

I will have my business investment account set up, funded, and ready to go in one week. I'm itching to test out many of the things I have learned over the last 6 months (from here and all the books that I've read.)

Larry, I especially like your reviewing of how to read the COT reports in this issue. I guess that was lucky timing since I am new to SMR and reading the COT reports seem likely to be an essential tool in reading the market.

Would the COT reports be useful when trading starbucks?

The COT is useful to me in trading individual stocks in the sense that when the smart money has a bullish bias I mostly want to be long individual stocks. When they have a bearish bias I mostly want to be short individual stocks.
