Commodities investments?

Larry (or any other of savvy investing masses on the SMR board), what kinds of investment vehicles are available to get a little more exposure into what commodity evalgelist Marc Faber ("Tommorow's Gold" - great book) calls a "basket of commodities"?

We have disucssed various precious metal mining companies (WHT, PAAS) and the broader commodities play(RTP) noted in the model portfolio. Any mutual finds that specialize in commodities, etc.? Any place to look further would be appreciated.

Thanks - love the education process here at the Smart Money Report!

Mark,

Faber suggests buying a basket of different futures markets and just rolling them over when expiration nears. Just make sure you go easy on the leverage so that normal fluctuations don't wipe you out.

The only true fund that I know of that buys actual commodities as an index is the one run by Jim Rogers. It's called the "Rogers International Commodity Index." For an individual investor the minimum investment is $10,000. Here's the link...

Thanks for the link Larry. And the warning...I remember a bit of investment advice from a book awhile back (largely discussing stocks) that basically suggesting setting aside some amount of money that you were willing to lose, go ahead and invest in orange juice and pork belly futures, lose your money and get commodities out of your system.
