Anyone,
The merger of CVX & UCL is scheduled to close on Tuesday (I think). The cash out option is $69.00 per share of UCL. The stock is trading at $64.85. Does this indicate that the probability of the deal going through is fairly small?

Jim,

I haven't been following it very closely so I don't know where the $69 price comes from. But it's my understanding that it's likely to go through. But it's obvious that the market doesn't think it's going to go through at $69.

Larry,
Ameritrade sent me notice Thursday that I had 3 options. $69.00 per share, 1.03 shares of CVX or .63 shares of CVX plus roughly $27.00 cash.

Jim,

Earlier in the week the deal was valued at $63.71 per share...

If Ameritrade can get you $69, take it.
