This lecture will examine the heights and depths to which building can
take people, why building is an undertaking so fraught with character
pitfalls, and how some characters in the Biblical narrative overcame these
pitfalls to soar as high as the trees.

Atarah Gale, a Bible instructor at Maimonides School, has taught
previously at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva of Flatbush High School, Drisha,
and Hebrew College. She earned her B.Ed. from Michlala College for Women in
Jerusalem, and did graduate work at the Bernard Revel Graduate School
of Yeshiva University in Bible.
