An unusual idea - to open the 'Shambles to all and sundry. It'll be full by noon. Anyway, as this is so unusual, let's not fill it with the usual .org poetry, students with coursework problems or attempts to get Pete to play in our local towns. Today we celebrate the feast of our patron (a toast....), and an exciting time for our beloved music. If only we'd seen what was to come, back in the darker days...

I didn't expect any particular reply, mate, I just thought it might be nice to usen this board, oh I dunno.. maybe just as a way of displaying the better writings of some of the posters out there, or some other nice purpose. Its not our board, I don't think a "community" will develop here, and if it closes up again in the morning, we will have all these beautiful missives and troubled musings from pete, selected offerings from talented others and a bunch of dross. To which I'm now contributing. Sorry.
