endless stares,(we know she cares!)tossing locks
strutting struts ahhhhhhh 'lady tut tuts'
'oi lady'(tobacco chewn finger nails)points
'oi tramp'(kitten heals, vanish 'no peels')
shuffle, shuffle, tap, tap,
*wink*(sequined eyes vs squinting)
a meeting smile, 'nev'r seems to sink'
the truth speaks between this 'mutual wink',
bemused, enchanted, a love emplanted

nimbles meet...a full moon 'lovers greet..the jazz man 'jingles'
eletrifying, light slowly dying 'tinny tis petrifying'

'tinny tramp-tramp n 'is lady tut tut'
hand n hand
what remains of the jazz band? magnificence...creeping in the distance...

.............lashes flutter...'take my hand' escorts lady tut tut(back to the gutter)

even the tap of her heal, tail of a rat ...''squeal'
'tinny tramp-tramp'...his queue to kneel

no more need be told, happily ever afters, times of old

oh how abruptly a smile can be stolen, snatched,
a warmed heart so unexpectedly unattached...
his half wrapped up, tied up, in her
'nev'r quite right how we were'

'what else arent you good at?'
smiles, shaded by a black'ed hat
meaningless, to me it is the meaning
niave, all i cannot perceive, but in (love)i must believe

blink my eyes? cross my thighs?
i weep, forgetfull sleep
secrets, intwined in my heart 'keep'
the hills of arcady, i fail? too steep?

'es in the flick o'a lighter
adjustment of a belt...pulling, tighter n' tighter
on the tips of my toes
the only smell in my nose
taken over my senses
tinned all my 'tenses'
and now a confusion of 'present tenses'
the letters of the newsprint
when my nails glint
glisten..listen to the beat of my pulse..
its timing 'false'
in night n' day
in a'l the music i play..
as the note lingers
hes in the string...in my fingers

you know when your all warm and cosey in bed? and your feet are bare and suddenly your foot twitches slightly and finds a cool spot in the bed, it cools down your whole body and makes you feel all tingley...

and i cant help but smile
''rent boy on trial'

lily manakins
life fragmented, held together avec hair pins

'what happened to the boy who defined my smile?'
narrowed my nile n' widened my tile??

my magenta, a crimson placenta
'hes been stolen m'am' by a beautiful preditor....

poor lily manakins..crippled by all his sins
life fragmented, held together avec hair pins

'what happened to the boy who defined art?'
not pablo picasso, he pulled further apart...

he exceeds the dictionary
hours n' hours of defining him in pictionary..

poor lily, lily manikins
her life, fragility, sliced with a blunted a knife

everydays the same for Pat. to awake from his heavy drunken sleep. aspects such as appearance don't register highly upon his list of importance, more like 'where is my lighter', or 'i need another drink'.
to make the dismal hours of his existance more bearable he consumes litres of whatever corner shop piss can pass his lips, and passes out at the end of the day/ or into the early hours of the morning.
a friend of his is the human form of smelling salts to bring back Pat to his dark reality. Pat is reminded of what his life really is like and for this shuts his friend out with insults for his constant reminders are too sharp.
althought these reminders aren't always directed at Pat he knows what his friend is muttering is true to his life also........

Finally a face to meet I saw
Witness was I to occurences
Saw a sad heart break in two
and with knock on effect...
more hearts were sorely scarred
For it is easier to love someone
Who is less real than the real

But where is that passion there?
Resistance is the only attraction
Soon this will fall from its pedistal

This rollercoaster...
did it singe your soldered skin?
Into a scar full of regrets...?
Was it love or just lustuous disbelief?
My eyes are still a-full of glee
But I can see
the grimace in the eyes of the misfortuned
My soul does weep
Yet still joy does seep
still have belief
For hopes and dreams are what
they are cracked up to be
They are what can set you free

Now you know, you know how I see
I do not even wish I could be...
But what can you do and...
...how on earth can you do it?
Can such things ever be done?

I am here like a sword in a stone
Always providing a comfortable home...
..for the sympathies and sorrow
Nor hasten to borrow...
..the help I can offer in
such troublesome times
Read into the lines...

What is the score?
Help me Mr dawes?
Such a gameshow
But with real life foe
Cafe de Paris...
...but will Paris be there?
And how will you bear...
..up with the feelings
the emotional dealings...
... I admire your will.......
..I'll will you along...
you'll do no wrong
to anyone else, but your kind self
but right will be done
to everyone else

On this here day
I offer one shoulder
To help on your way

Did you feel the guilt? Dinnae ken why it was there...
...shouting ...shouting... too much noise

Persecution is evil thing....
...although full meaning not clearly dearly
But what have I done to deserve?
What have you?
I am not happy for happy sake
I am happy - it is what you make
I do not loathe or despise
Because I see within your eyes
So to all of you out there
My thoughts for which you have no care
Do not respond, do not complain
Do not take my stride in vein
For I will just ignore the false pain
And carry on with my merry dame

I will smile regardless
Isn't is marvellous?
How I have one soul
Thats knows where to go
No obstacles can bring me down
You will never bring a frown

~Ahhh peter peter
the memories are dim
like a moth flying towards the light
flicker it does
apologies are sent
for my hell bent..
..ways...
...the days..
fuelled with killer daniels
memory lapses

"don't be sad peter"
don't be sad
you're not bad
they are angry
I smile like a child
play,play,play music
don't be sad
in my oasis...oblivious
no surroundings here
your absence brings a tear

knock knock
slurrrr... are you ok?
"are we welcome"
cheque, cheque you're okay
we'll go if you don't want us
sadness to happiness
the sun is dawning
bringing the morning
you're okay now
i hope you are okay
today...
...will be better
"i'd tell you to fuck off
if i didn't want you here"
thank you...
music when the lights go out
