Natural Ends are Uneven -Should I Cut?

I haven't cut my hair in upwards of 3 1/2 years. Now that I have reached my goal length (41", a little below tailbone but not so long it is sit on) I am wondering if I should get a blunt cut across the bottom. -That would drastically shorten my hair, about 5" is my estimate.
Since I have not trimmed my hair in so long, I am wondering if this is the longest I can hope for without the use of vitamins. Having uneven ends (which sometimes I don't mind, and at other times I feel they look scraggly), allows my hair to be longer than it would be with a blunt cut. Hence my dilemma.

I always wear my hair down since I'm not very good with up-dos.

Here are some pics, please tell me what you think.
