it took 7 minutes to load the public discussion board. My G3 just sat there like it was frozen. But it did eventually finish what it was doing (whatever it was) and gave me the discussion board. I have noticed that the more posting there are, the longer it takes to load.
I am CONFIDENT that it won't be like that forever.
