Hiya...ok, I know Citre Shine is something almost all of you have used so you don't need a review but it's the first product I've used that anyone on the board seems to have heard of and I want to do a review too!!
Having said that I'm not sure I'm capable of reviewing because I'm very bad at telling how different products affect my hair. So I conducted a "scientific" experiment!
Day 1
Forgot to oil my hair the night before so decided to try the CWC method for the first time. Rubbed in a good amount of Citre Shine Reconstructing Conditioner into my length. Prepared to do battle with tangles while combing in the shower but a miracle happened - no tangles! One brownie point to CS. Stuffed hair into shower cap and finished bathing. Pulled off shower cap and shampooed scalp with regular Oriflame shampoo. Ran suds down length. Conditioned again with CS. Combed - no tangles. Rinsed. Wrapped hair in towel, dried off, got dressed, unwrapped hair and reached for regular L'Oreal Leave-in. Naaaah. Too boring. Put a little bit of CS in palm, added water and rubbed into hair. Combed. Still no tangles...I can't believe this! CS is god!
1 hour later
Little worried that hair will be too greasy. Think I overdid the Citre Shine.
2.5 hours later
Hair now dry.
Good news - no grease and freshly combed hair looks faintly shiny (my hair is uh...matt by nature!)
Bad news - Mom's comment: Wasn't that stuff supposed to make your hair shiny?
Dad's comment (on being asked to smell my hair): What does it smell like? Uh....hair?
Next day and the day after that
Hair noticeably shinier though still not exactly glossy.
Day 4
Decide to conduct experiment for comparison. Will use CWC to maintain scientific uniformity. Rub in a good amount of Avon Lavendar and Honey Conditioner (my usual). Comb out. I don't believe this - no tangles! This has never happened before with this conditioner - do you think it's jealous of CS? Maybe it's the comb? Dazedly stuff hair into shower cap and finish bathing. Remove shower cap and shampoo. Run suds down length. Condition again with Avon. Comb - minor tangles, not too bad. Rinse. Wrap hair in towel etc etc, unwrap hair and use L'Oreal Leave-in. Comb. No tangles...then again L'Oreal usually does take care of them.
2 hours later
Hair is dry and
gleaming. Definitely more shine than with CS - but why? I use this combination every wash and usually results vary from ok to straw.
Don't ask mom to comment (she thinks I spend way too much time on my hair and not enough on my studies - I'm in the middle of finals!)
Dad says: <sniffing> Hmmm...that's nice.
I say: It's supposed to be lavendar
Dad says: Ah...there used to be a cigarette brand when I was a kid called Cavendar.
I say: Does that mean my hair smells like cigarettes?!!!
Dad says: Hmmm...let me smell again and see.
<you gotta love him!>
Couple of more combings and the shine seems to be wearing off...or maybe I'm just getting used to it.
So...what is my verdict? I'm gonna use both alternately - can't afford to throw away either!

Thanks for listening!!
