Did you use regular tea, like Lipton, or an herbal? Regular teas have more of that really stripping feel to them. While I don't really think that it is bad to do, you certainly should probably follow with a touch of conditioner. It sounds like whatever strength tea you use was just a bit much for your hair. It could have thorugh the pH out of balance. Herbal teas don't usually have as much of an effect (sticky/stiff feeling) as regular, but they still can. An easy way to use them is to either follow with coniditioner, or use dilute it more.
