Provided you don't mind silicones, are these ingredients okay? I've been looking for an inexpensive alternative to the L'anza protecShine (which I do love!) and spent lots of time in Ulta yesterday comparing ingredients. L'anza cost something like $8 for 1.7 floz, whereas an 8-floz bottle of Headwear Download Straightening Serum cost $3 something. It's this pink, sparkly stuff that smells absolutely delicious.

Ok, the ingredients compared:

Headwear Download Straightening Serum:

Purified water
propylene glycol
glycerin
cyclomethicone
dimethicone copolyol
guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride
provitamin B5
vitamin A
Vitamin E
pineapple extract
polyquaternium-11
grapeseed extract
chamomile extract
benzophenone-3
carbomer
mica
tetrasodium EDTA
titanium dioxide
diazolidinyl urea
methylparaben
propylparaben
fragrance
red 33

L'anza protecShine:

cyclomethicone
phenyl trimethicone
trimethylsilymodimethicone
arginine PCA
keratin bond system
octyl methoxycinnamate
fragrance

19/25/26
fine, thick, very slightly wavy (type 1B/C)
lt. brown w/ golden tints
