they are usually made out of a spongy material covered in fabric with a wire running thru them. You can find them at any pharmacy or beauty supply store.
I have some home, but can't remember the name...I apologize. They have several brands like wrap, snap and go. They require no heat and set overnight while your hair dries. They work really well.
