The steroids question has been asked by several people in the world of sports. Now for years that the sports world have been dealing with these “athletic enhancers”. The sports world have tried their best to control these products but what is so bad about roids in sports. The rant this week will examine the issue of roids in sports from the positive and negative and my take on the whole damn thing.

First we have to address the negatives of roids in sports, I hear all the different sports commentary talk about the kids being hurt and influenced to take them. So if Barry Bonds is hitting home run after home run, that will drive “little tommy” to go out and get some roids. Now this argument can be busted in half by clear headed people saying one word, “money”. Yes Bonds is a pro baseball player and the other is a ****ing kid, not just a kid but a little kid who lives with his parents. The other argument I hear all the time is the situation with the games being tainted and all the mess with records, well I think the best bet on this topic. Is for people to go back and see that a handful of records have been broken or set with roids involved and now these same people want to put a check mark next to the issue. Something else is that things happen, if the records were meant to stand or people did not want to set them, just look to the importance of the record.

The positives of the roids in sports issue, now this is where I come down mostly in my argument but not all the way on the roids issue. The thing I do not understand with the roids issue. If god did not mean for us to have them, why would they be here on earth. Yes that is a weak argument, however with this in mind. I think the issue has to be in this day and age, all the people in the media want everyone on the other side of the visual medium to be parents. If Barry Bonds wants to take roids, so. .let him. You think of the Baseball situation. They went on strike a few years back and people got brought back by Sosa and Mack coming and cracking ball after ball out of the park. Then on the Football issue, people want to see legalized violence Now you have the issue of roids in boxing, like I have to say this. Roids make you hit harder and people love Tyson like power. Why not have both.

Finally where I come down in the issue and that is the roids in sports issue. Now I think if Barry Bonds wants to stand in the batters box and inject roids into his eyeball. Go on ahead and do it. If all boxers and ufc guys want to come into the ring and pop some roids, go ahead and do so. I look at the people saying, “Roids give an unfair advantage.” I remember back in 2003 at the World Tough man championships when Devo who is from Wichita Kansas and an avid roid user. He lost to a guy who was not on roids and just had good boxing talent. Think about that and I will rant at ya next week, and be sure to check out jiggyjaguar.com
