The Jiggy Jaguar Show will celebrate it's 16th year on the air next Sunday with our birthday show. After all these years what have we accomplished and where is the show going in the next 16? The idea of a birthday show is a goof on Howard Stern's birthday show concept. If anyone knows that when Stern has a birthday he does a show to celebrate. We are doing one to celebrate the show itself and this year it will be special. We have accomplished a lot in our time on the air, I remember back in 1993, I figured I would screw around with doing “Fake radio” in my basement for a few years then I would move onto something more productive.

The radio show itself started as many would, with a tape recorder and my personal tape and cd collection. My friends would come over to my house and we would BS in my bedroom and talk smack on kids from school to songs I played on my show. I would sell these tapes and in some cases give them away. We would take the tape recorder with us to public events and do shows. Eventually I would find the Internet and would build websites and use my “show” to talk smack on people and other things in general. I would eventually think we could put audio on line and do it that way and cut out the tape process.

Several years later we would make that a reality with our Internet show and we would have on those tapes as well as other things. I would take also my skills from real radio and use it on line Let me back up here. I got the skills in radio from KSKU to enter Internet radio. My goal was to be a net caster and have on mainstream guests and do things you would hear on a local morning show. I was gonna be a big time player. Well it started small from interviewing local bands and other people. One day I managed to con the management from the 1980's band “Firehouse” to do a phone interview with me. I would use it on my net show. We got numbers out the wasso at Alternacast.com

I knew I could do better and then a few years later I tried to book some guests and I managed to catch Lance Hoyt when he was on his way up the TNA Wrestling ladder. Then I happen to walk into a interview with Flex Wheeler from the Bodybuilding world. I then would began to land the big fish and I did it with the help of just being in the right place at the right time. I would then have on the show, “Big” John McCarthy,Bruce Dearn,Rupert From Survivor. Now I was picking up some steam here and I made the most of it. Now I am having on authors and other people by hooking up with several radio interview booking services. Due to my track record and other things such as my ratings...I do not mean to rub it in,however I average about 200 downloads a day on my pod cast site.

I remember back in the day my LD teacher Herb Halinski told me if I spent as much time on the Internet screwing around and building websites I would be an A student. However I will say this, because of all that and hard work I have put in. I am now able to have many national and international celebrities and sports stars on my list of friends and not just the whole, “There on my my space list”. No, jack legs I mean friends like, I talked to John McCarthy during a UFC event{While it was on PPV}. I have accomplished a lot and as we head into our 16th year period. I thank you all and I thank all of you for reading my blogs and participating in the process and encouraging me threw e-mail,etc. My friends know who that last statement was sent to.

I took this show from doing it on tape recorder and making it available to my buddy's for a small fee and sometimes free. To taping stuff while I should have been working at KSKU and airing it on my show at home. To having this show all over the net via Internet radio to now pod casting. Along the way we have had radio feuds with net and mainstream broadcasters to now doing interviews with everyone from Tito Ortiz to Flex Wheeler to being a full fledged member of the media talking to famous people such as Cal Ripkin to Country band Sawyer Brown to now being featured on the Golf Channel soon via our Jiggy Jag TV project. It's been a hell of a ride and I hope in 16 more years we can do some more big things.
