Weekly Rant: 4/19/2009-Shellgame continues

This week we return with the weekly rant, I am back to toss more people under the bus. Run my mouth and just make lots of friends but make even more enemies. We have been gone for awhile but now we are back to get the damn thing going. This week, we have had a odd week with people stealing ideas and getting things rolling in their towns across this country. I attended the local tea party and then I watched the coverage on the nightly news and saw guys like Keith Olberman and Anderson Cooper making fun of the marches and calling them nothing than tea baggers.

I love the world of politics and all the mess and shift changing that takes place in this country. Wheather it's right or left, I just think the world of politics is a better game than watching a reality show or mixed martial arts. It's all pure theater, wheather your a hard core tree hugging liberal or a gun touting conservative, just PURE theater. I have said it on the radio program and it this space, that It's all dimicans and replicrats. It's a shell game and what I have witnessed the past months time, it's a shell game.

Good example in the talk radio world, is Rush Limbaugh. I love Rush and I think he's a great entertainer and great show host. Rush spent years and years railing against people like Clinton and others in the DNC. Rush yelled and crowed and finally when Bush was elected. Happy days were here again. Rush had created and brought along a movement that sold, you had every jerk jumping in the pool. Mark Levin, Sean Hannity,Glen Beck,etc. They all were pushing conservative ways and making money for their syndicators and stations.

Well when Bush was getting in trouble and their world of conservative ways were falling in on them. People like Olberman and Air America started cheer leading and trying to wake people up. See the world for what it is, under Bush and the conservatives, EVIL! You had Olberman garner a huge following and people like Air America was being funny and bringing in the talent like Rachel Maddow to get it done. You had Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert on TV getting the youth movement in action.

Barry gets elected and the left is victory lapping, you have people like Colbert going after targets like Beck and Stewart going on with Jim Cramer from CNBC. What happens now is people like Fox News and others creating the Tea Party concept, people are ticked about their taxes, so they are marching and people like Limbaugh and others are cheer leading the effort and CHANGE. The Revolution needs to start with people standing up against oppression in Barry and his pals in Washington.

Whoa, this sounds like when Olberman and others preached oppression under the Bush administration,etc. You had the left being against the power grab of the evil conservatives. They had John Kerry and he did not get it done. They did not have a good media strong hold and could not get it done on talk radio. Conservatives are just better at talk radio than the liberals, what could the liberals do to make the great power grab?

TV and Newspapers was the key, get people like Olberman, Colbert,etc. And grab TV then take the newspapers and grab people who are not watching TV or old conservatives. They also mastered and found a guy who could change the world in Barry O' Bama. The conservatives see at this time, they could be screwed, so they began backing away saying, W did not rep them and was a fool. Limbaugh admitted to being a water carrier and hated it.

Just like with Jimmy Carter and the liberals, not having a good path and having to put up with Regan,Bush, and then claiming loss to Clinton. The conservatives then mastered talk radio and began moving into TV with Fox news. They finally got their man in Bush and ran the table for years, all the while, The Democrats had disappointing pit falls like failed experiment in talk radio with Air America, Jerry Springer radio,etc. They made their way back with MSNBC,New York Times,and others like Colbert,Stewart. Now the Dems in control and Conservatives are on the run with Tea Parties and Beck on Fox.

Finally the conservatives have to have their Carter, in what they believe to be McCain/Palin and have guys like Glen Beck getting HUGE numbers on Fox News and Rush gaining steam in talk radio. In an age of talk radio, the Internet, instant communication like Twitter,etc. Do they Rep. Have to wait for years for their Clinton?. Just like I have said all column, Politics is the greatest theater you could see. I love all this and I am sure this column will be looked back upon before the next election.
