Weekly Rant:6/14/2009: What if?

I have always had a lot of questions over the years and that is the question of what if? What if Walt Disney came back and saw what has happened to his empire. What if Vince Sr came back and saw what Vince Jr has done to the WWF. What about the founding fathers came back and saw what has happened to their country? I tend to always air on the side of facts and a lot of people I have had this talk with have aired on the side of cool things and they would all be proud of what has happened to the world of their little slice of it.

Let's tackle Walt Disney, what if this guy came back and saw what has happened to the World of Disney. He started Disney off a drawing that he did when he was board and that drawing was Mickey Mouse. What would Walt think of the things Disney has accomplished, with the Disney land and movie and animation empire that has done. I think it would impress Walt at what has happened and I believe that Walt would think it was cool. However I think that Walt might be a little pissed, and your sitting there thinking, huh?

Let me tell ya what he would be pissed, what would he think of the horrid movies that have been cranked out such as Dick Tracy? What about all the costume characters that have felt up all the people going to Disney world? What about all the crap that Michael Eisner did to the company that Walt helped build. What about all the hidden crap that gets stuck into the animation movies such as tits and cuss words? Oh and let's not forget the failed experiment that was Euro Disney.

Let's take a look now at the WWE and what it has become. Let's look at the positives of Vince Sr on the things that Vince Jr has accomplished. Vince Sr would love Wrestlemaina, think about it. The super bowl of wrestling. From the small time regional circuit to the biggest show on earth. The TV shows and moving into the DVD and action figure world. Remember when Vince Sr was around, they did not do much with t-shirts. However now you can not find a thing that does not have a logo on it.

Now the other side of the fence, Vince Sr would be pissed as hell that his son, went and hired back and guy that Vince Sr fired and then on top of this made him into the Babe Ruth of Pro wrestling and used him to make Wrestling the biggest thing in the late 80's and all of the 90's. Oh and that person was Hulk Hogan, who Vince SR fired for wanting to be in Rocky III. Vince Sr would be ticked as **** about Vince Jr buying up all his competitors and running them out of the biz, including WCW/NWA. Vince Sr always wanted to work with others and pool ideas and get them to get him better. Vince Sr would also be ticked beyond belief on the idea that someone like HHH would marry his grand daughter Stephanie and then go on and pretty much run the business

I plan on expanding this column in the next weeks to include more detailed thoughts on all this plus what would happen if you brought the founding fathers back and told them that we have created the Ipod, and the INTERNET as well as airplanes and cars. However we have run our nation for the past so many years on something that they wrote on a napkin. We also went out and elected a man named Obama who is part Black and part white. We also went out and put a woman in power positions and gave them both the right to vote. Oh and also we call them not the founding fathers but the framers and political correctness has ruined a country that they helped to take away from the British.
