The Weekly Rant: 1/22/2012-Sopa and Pipa

This week's rant is about what took place on Wednesday with the world wide protest on PIPA and SOPA bills. These bills were basically the way to take over the internet as we know it. What is these 2 bills and what are they really? How did this thing get stopped and what is next? Mega upload and Eric from Salina Kansas has a connection with these 2 bills. The NDAA bill and all the nonsense for the feds and what they see is coming. The protest from left and right and center, one thing that united everyone. Then we have the coming revolution and what happened day after the protest on Wed. My view as we know it. Finally what we do and where we go from here, the rant is going cyber this week.

What is SOPA and Pipa? These bills were made up so we could protest copyright holders and people that produce content like news channels and entertainment companys The bills were setup to fight folks pirating info and media content without paying for it. We all enjoy downloads and all but kids these bills were made to get rid of kids and old people who downloaded and trafficked in the content that is not paid for. I think for that reason, I support it and I support the folks who are standing up there.

What it really is and it always is not what kids want it to be, its a bill to control the internet. It's about shutting down websites and ways to communicate, it's a way for people who want to control news and entertainment as we know it. It's a way to shut up people who speak out on blogs, forums,twitter, face book,etc. It's basically a way to make people obey and take away free expression. I do think it also was established to take out people like Alex Jones and others who speak out and organized protests and such from the world and gather and assemble worldwide across citys and towns across the USA.

How did this thing get stopped? We have saw people from Face book to twitter to blogs to news online such as Youngturks.com and Glenn Beck on GBTV. These folks helped spared the word and helped get the word out about the cause, people signed online petitions, and sent their friends to law makers websites and flooded their emails and phone message boxes. You have people who face off with each other on a daily routine but we all came together for 1 thing and 1 thing only, to keep a free and open internet. What happened is the folks who made these bills, withdrew them and paused on doing anything forward with voting and basically went back to the drawing board on the matters.

Mega upload and Eric From Salina Kansas, Yes there is a Kansas connection to this story. We told you a few months back about Eric who was a fake pot dealer and the city of Salina wanted him done, so bad, they went out and called the National guard and screwed with the man and finally just tossed him in jail while they waited for a law to pass. Finally they rail railroaded the guy and now he is a jail house inmate and his freedom is a thing of the past. Megaupload.com is a file sharing and storage website that allows people to send files. I used the site to send video and audio interviews to people who did not want to embed or download the files. These folks did not get the law passed so guess what Mega upload had to go and was basically just taken down. Gone, no law just gone from the face of the internet world.

What all this means and my view of things with the NDAA, yes I have spoken on this in the past as well. The National Defense authorization act, which means if the cops or the army want to. They can arrest you for no cause, you get no rights, no lawyer and you just go away for good. The NDAA is passed just like the PIPA and SOPA bills were meant control the folks and by the folks, I mean you. The SOPA and PIPA bills were meant to not let people assemble and trade information. The NDAA is meant to arrest these folks, much like Occupy Wall street and others without having to deal with that pesky thing called Justice and the law in general.

The hacker group Anonymous went out day Mega upload got taken down and shut down several sites including the FBI, White House and other record label and other people in favor of the SOPA and Pipa bills. The group is preparing behind the scenes much like a lot of people are with a pending Revolution coming. I have said this on many occasions that once someone comes along that can unite the tea Party, Occupy Wall street and the Hacker groups, it's over. The kids in Washington will no longer be able to just waste their time and screw with the people. Believe me I know as well as people like Beck and Jones have known, a Revolution is coming and I firmly believe that Anonymous will be the leaders in that revolution

What the protest from left/right and center all did was unite the people on something. That is so important, we may bitch about Obama being a socialist and others saying he is being tied down by the do nothing congress. We may all say Beck and Jones are crazy and may say twitter and Face book are useless and we may not hear it from the Mainstream media it's not news. However the PIPA and SOPA protests showed that the folks can come together and the old adage is true, united we stand and we can accomplish anything if we are together as a group or force.

My view on all this is simple as well, I think that the SOPA and PIPA and NDAA and other bills are going nuts. The government wants to control the people and they already saw with the Occupy Wall street nonsense that this will not happen. They have tried to pass laws and hope that Government officials just shut up and go along, then some like Ron Paul speak out and want to repel these bills and make them go away. You have people who are paid off by Mainstream media and people like Hollywood and others want this crap caged but they see that the internet for bad or worse came together and smacked down that crap and did it quick.

Finally lets wrap this up by saying the PIPA and SOPA bills are not the 1st or last thing. These are going to be something that is a go around. Since coming thru the front door and unzipping their fly does not work. The government will come back and just do something shady, we all saw they wanted to stop piracy with SOPA and PIPA, that did not work. So the government came in and unzip their fly and just take out Mega upload I think the world is going to change and a change is coming and believe me what you think is coming and it's coming big time. Just wait till the spring and when it becomes nice outside. I will be back and touch base on this issue more and more as we go.
