I would have ordered for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The amount of sage makes a difference. That is the reason I ask for the recipe. I will look for someone else to make it and you can keep yours, no thanks to you

No, You would not have ordered from this individual. No one has to give you the recipe in order for you to receive the right amount of sage. Custom orders can be filled to satisfy the customer without giving out the recipe!

Unless you are inspected by the health department I bet the health department wouldn't want you to be making that or anything else you are selling to the public in your home. You could get in trouble for that and I wouldn't want to buy it from anyone that makes it in their home if I didn't know them. Restaurants have to pay for a business license and pay for a food permit to sell food to the public and you should too.

I don't think that bake sale food is subject to the same standards. Bake sales are to raise money for charities, schools, churches. You buy at your own risk. The person selling dressing was doing so as a business and should have to show permits and inspection results.

I know this because the health department shut down food sales at the sweet potato festival a few years back. People had cooked at home then brought it there to sell and they got smacked down. If your group sets one up at the grocery store, you probably won't have to worry because they won't know but I wouldn't advertise too much, lol.
