We use an outside antenae ourselves and all you need is the converter box. My dad also uses an antenae. You really need to leave these people alone because as far as I can see, there is no scam, only someone who needs to learn a little more about the subject that he or she is inappropiately calling a scam. I don't know who these people are selling the antenae, but if I needed a new antenae, I would buy it from them. Now go pick on someone else and have a good day.

Thank you. No this is not a scam. We have two tv's and two digital converter boxes.
Therefore we no longer need the outside UHF VHF because we are using the small inside antenna commonly known as rabbit ear antennas. Some people with lots of woods, trees etc around there home do not get good reception with the indoor antenna. Anyway, thank you for to the person that agreed this is not a scam. I have an antenna for sale, if interested $100.00 cash. You can get lots well all local b'ham and huntsville channels clearly! Thanks.

This is really off the topic, but I have a tv, converter box, and rabbit ears. Why cam't I get reception that does not fade in and out, making any viewing impossible since every 30 seconds I have to readjust the ears and the picture fades as I hold the rabbit ears?

There are some people on here who are self-proclaimed protectors of the site, accusing everyone of lying. The woman wanting the dog before it died was an exception to unwelcome accusations and protection. I was glad for that info.

The seller said he does not need his item because he has tv, box, and rabbit ears--same thing I stated I have. So, what is the difference in his getting reception and my not getting reception. As for the "duh" person, why not be respectful and act like grownups on here. I asked a question.

The difference is location. I've lived in different areas of cullman, and some places you can get it on rabbit ears. Other places, you need an outdoor antenna. The area you are in, how many trees are around, etc. Also, mobile homes, the metal around them will mess with rabbit ears. There are tons of reason why it won't work.

Thanks for the explanation of location making a difference. I have trees around me, but I live in a twostory wood house. The antenna sits withing two inches of a large picture window, so it should get reception, except for the trees. I cannot put up a pole myself and cannot afford to have it done. Msybe there is a booster antenna made for the outside of the house, mounted high on the house and then my antenna will pick up the signal?

I personally would not buy anything from someone who calls people a dumb@$$ like this seller has done in other locations. NOT a person I would deal with! Would be kind of like going to Walmart and being at the register and the cashier calling you a dumb@$$

How do you know that anyone named anonymous is the same person who called someone a name?

That might not had been the poster to reply. So many come in on this. I am not the poster, but I answered a question on this thread. Now Im going to look around to see if I can find the other answer for another question here.

I never called anyone a name. All I have done is responded to why it may be necessary to use it with a converter box. Also discussed signal reception. I do not like to be called names and would never disrespect someone like that.
I am a grown up. Not a child. Lots of people post and it looks like it came from original person. In this instance I called NO ONE a name.
