| Thanks for response David!
I just finished my 4th session (which was an afternoon one). I had some really interesting effects this time:
1) After a while into the meditation, I started to have these short daydream-like thoughts, which were some sentences (which I don't remember anymore though) spoken with a voice of somebody else. Similar kinds of effects I get if I'm tired after work and going home on a bus: there are this short "naps" where I fall into this dream-like state for a few seconds and then bounce back. The difference was though that now I was more conscious of what was happening and could actually remember what those voices in my head said (even though I've forgotten them by now). Right after I heard them, I also could kind of relate some of them to issues that I have in my life at this moment - similar when analysing dreams, but actually in the moment!
2) There was at least one memory from my childhood (more than 20 years ago), a very quick flashback from a school trip where I had a certain type of candy with me. I haven't thought about this memory for a long time.
3) Now after the session I'm starting to feel quite hungry - in a natural kind of way.. for lack of better words I'd describe it like that. Similar effects I found after listening to certain binaural beat recordings (the effects of which were not even close to what the effects of NSR have been so far).
4) I also had my first gap in awareness (during a NSR session so far), where I suddenly just found that I had forgotten the syllable for a while.
5) At some point there was this strange but not unpleasant sensation of feeling the edge of a collar around the front side of my neck. I also had this on the 2nd session, which was afternoon as well, but not during the morning sessions. Have people reported that there are more profound stress relief effects during afternoon sessions? Or is it generally common to have differences between morning and afternoon session?
