Response to The will, and addiction of the ego |
| Hey David,
You know that I take no offense to your message. How could I, the method works, what could I say? he he.
I have recently decided that I have too many problems at the physical level and I have decided to practice some stretching before meditation. I have learned that I can't still the mind without stilling the body. My body just couldn't sit still. I had to get over the hump of boredom before I could go deep into my mind without worrying about my legs being in pain because I couldn't sit properly. I can sit comfortably in the 1/2 lotus position and I can sit for as long as I want now, with no problems. Having the spine straight is far more important than I expected, even though it is emphasized by everyone that talks about meditation. Anyway, so the method does work better when I empty my mind first and simply look for it instead of create it by force. I think it's an adhd thing, you know, to have alot of mental activity blocking the transcending process. |
