Hi, I'm no website guru, but perhaps, when you are not "in the room," there could be a little box at the corner that says you are currently not available BUT (and here's the kicker..haha) there is a button that the person can press that will tell you they were wanting to chat...this will give you a total of people interested in chatting and perhaps show a trend of certain times of the day that might be good for setting up chatroom sessions....Am I being clear...seems like I'm not.
Just a humble suggestion.
